Stylish ornamental, but highly susceptible to disease and insect pests in Middle Tennessee humidity. Susceptible to fungal leaf spots, cankers, and borers; poor longevity in landscape. Requires excellent drainage to prevent root rot. Not recommended for small yards due to disease pressure and short lifespan.
