Most homeowners in Cool Springs make the mistake of waiting until October to overseed, thinking they are chasing the perfect weather. By the time you act, you have already lost the critical germination window. I start my seeding process in late August or early September. It spreads laterally to fill in divots from your mower and creates a biological firebreak to slow the spread of fungal diseases like brown patch. This isn't about just throwing seed down; it is about building a dense, resilient turf that can actually handle the heat and humidity of our region.
