Most homeowners in Cool Springs East try to fix a thin lawn by waiting until October to throw down some cheap seed and straw. That is a mistake. That small amount of bluegrass acts as a self-repairing mechanism for divots and serves as a disease firebreak to stop fungal spread. This approach builds a dense, resilient lawn that can handle our heavy clay soils and humid summers.
