I’ve been treating lawns here in Middle Tennessee for 10 years now. I love the science of lawn care, helping people achieve their goals, and doing it all with a clear conscience. Every product I use is safe, necessary, and appled at the minimum required rate to be effective.

I’m not much of a salesman. My work is my passion, and the results are my advertising. Almost all of my customers are by word of mouth, and they are all a blessing to me and my family.

In my first season of lawn care, I quickly grew a passion for soil science as I experienced the diversity of soil types across Bellemeade Brentwood, Franklin, and further south.

Over the years, after a lot of trial and error, I've realized that there simply is not a product or chemistry that will fit every lawn. The natural chemistry of soils combined with human activity demands that lawn care be tailored for every lawn. There is no cookie-cutter solution.

Here's just one example: Lawns of older homes will often stay greener through drought stress and respond better to fertilization - holding their color longer. This is because of modern construction practices.

Tennessee has very good soil, exceptional even. However, the unfortunate fact of the matter is that many of you, especially in Spring Hill, Arrington, College Grove, and further south, don’t have your native topsoil.

This is because we now regrade large plots for subdivisions and in doing so remove all of the existing topsoil to get the plots to drain to codes. You can see it all over south of Franklin. They don’t even add topsoil to the final grade of the build anymore. I don’t get it, it’s literally dirt cheap!

There are many of these peculiarities and factors to take into account, and they must be discovered and assessed before your individualized lawn care treatment plan can be solidified and put into effect. Otherwise, you're off to a wild goose chase that has the potential to become a money pit of frustration and dissatisfaction.
