Lawn Care And Insect Control

Know Your Enemy

Before they Destroy Your Lawn

Complete and incomplete metamorphosis are two types of growth forms in insects. Complete metamorphosis occurs through four stages: egg, larva, pupa, and adult. On the other hand, incomplete metamorphosis occurs through three stages: egg, nymph, and adult.

It's at the larva and nymph stages where insects do the damage to your lawn because that's when they're feeding. There are chewing bugs and there are sucking bugs. Some bugs go after roots, some go after shoots, and some go after both.

No Harm To Pollinators

We Have Strict Environmental Stewardship Standards

Our white grub, caterpillar larva, spittlebug, and chinch bug treatments contain Acelepryn (Chlorantraniliprole). Acelepryn has no known adverse effects on beneficial and most non-target insects including earthworms and honeybees. This protection also includes beneficial predator pests like praying mantises and ladybugs.

How does that work?

Acelepryn acts on muscle function by binding to the Ryanodine receptors in target insect muscles. These receptors regulate calcium release and control muscle contraction. Binding of Acelepryn to these receptors causes paralysis in the target insect. The ryanodine receptors of bees and mosts non-target pests are different enough that Acelepryn binding doesn't occur.

In addition, our All Natural Mosquito, Tick, and Flea spray is an all-natural cedar oil that also won't harm bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.

You'll Win the War Against Bugs

With Mr. Lawn by Your Side

The key here is paying attention to detail and knowing what to look for. Some of these insects can destroy your lawn very quickly if not detected in a timely manner. That's why we're out out on your lawn every month (May through Aug.) making sure destructive insects don't get a chance to establish themselves and have your lawn for dinner.

For example: Grub infestations are often detected by the presence of moles, skunks, raccoons, or birds digging up your lawn in search of a tasty meal. Now you have two problems! But by taking care of the first, we can take care of the second one as well. No matter what the problem, our emphasis on prevention and early detection lawn care, saves you time and money, and buys you piece of mind.
